The Air-release valve removes the trapped air at the starting phase of the system and shunts the vacuum during the initial start off. The Air-release valve is usually connected at a higher point in the mainline system. This ensures smooth water flow in the pipelines and also warrants the smooth functioning of the entire irrigation system. This is an integral part of the irrigation system. The trapped air when not removed tends to damage the other components of the system.
